There are some world’s most expensive players who are struggling in the 2022/23 season, while others have improved the performance of their team this season.

Phillipe Coutinho who is the fourth most expensive player on the world, was signed by Aston Villa permanently, has zero goal contribution for Aston Villa this season.

Despite his brilliant performance under Steven in the previous season, the Brazilian midfielder has continued to struggle under the new Villa boss.

However, Ousmane Dembele’s career at Barcelona was ruined by injury and this explained why the Spanish giants wanted him to take a lower salary during his contract extension offer.
