Spanish La Liga Santander giant, FC Barcelona were in action yesterday in their 8th league game of the current campaign at home against Celta Vigo at the Camp Nou.

The host of the night were able to bounce back to winning ways after their last disappointing one nil defeat against Italian Serie A giant, Inter Milan in their third group game of the UEFA Champions League.

Barcelona in the game secured the whole maximum and needed three points of the night that saw them leapfrogged their perennial rival and reigning Champion, Real Madrid to the top of the table which was a good omen going into the El-Clasico game next weekend.

The only first half goal scored by Spaniard youngster, Pedri Gonzalez was enough to separate the two sides at full time which ended one nil.

Here are three best players for the Catalan giant in the show of the night:

Pedri Gonzalez

The Spaniard midfielder and La Masia product was exceptional for the host at the heart of the centre-field where he played more of the offensive role thereby helped in getting the ball advanced upfront which was pivotal in the crucial win.

Pedri Gonzalez in the game made a significant difference as he scored the only goal of the night which was enough to separate the two sides at full time.

Gavira Pablo

The young football talent was sensational for the Catalan giant at the heart of the centre-field with his Man of the Match performance which made him appear everywhere as he delivered at top notch playing both the offensive and defensive roles at the midfield.

Marc Andre Ter Stegen

The German shot stopper was excellent for the host in between the stick as he made some decisive and iconic saves to deny the visitor some clear cut chances that could have been converted into goals.

He therefore played instrumental role in securing the whole maximum three point in what was his 7th clean sheet and 6 in a row in his 8 games played so far this season with just only one goal conceded in that run.

They will all be hoping to keep their impressive run of form going as they looked forward to their must-win UEFA Champions League clash this Wednesday against Inter Milan before the El-Clasico next weekend.
