Portugal national team captain Cristiano Ronaldo has become the first player in history to score in five FIFA World Cup, after netting a goal for his team in their game against Ghana national team in the ongoing FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

The former Real Madrid football club star was given a starting role by coach Fernando Santos and he was able to perform excellently in the game.

Cristiano Ronaldo started in his team’s attack alongside Joao Felix and he was able to score a goal in the game.

Both teams efforts to score in the first half of the game were not successful, as the first half ended goalless.

Cristiano Ronaldo broke a deadlock for Portugal national team in the 65th minute through a penalty kick, Andre Ayew equalized for Ghana in the 73rd minute, and Joao Felix made it 2-1 in the 78th minute before Rafael Leao scored a goal in the 80th minute.

With Cristiano Ronaldo’s goal against Ghana national team, it means he has set a new record in the FIFA World Cup;

“Cristiano Ronaldo is the first player in history to score in five FIFA World Cup, having scored in the last four edition of the competition.”

The five times Ballon D’or award winner will now be looking forward to continuing his impressive performance for Portugal national team when they play their next game in few days time.
