Brazil secured a comfortable 2-0 win in their crucial group-stage game against Serbia on Thursday night. It wasn’t a dominant performance from Tite’s men, and the manager would be glad with the result.

Brazil started the game on the front foot as they created a couple of good chances in the opening minutes. However, their inability to finish off their chances kept Serbia in the game.

Brazil improved their performance in the second 45 minutes, and they got their reward in the 63rd minute when Richarlison tapped the ball home from close range.

Things got even better for Brazil in the 72nd minute as Richarlison’s incredible acrobatic strike managed to beat Serbia’s goalkeeper.

Richarlison’s strikes were enough to secure all three points for Brazil in their first group-stage game. The talented attacker proves his manager right for starting him ahead of Gabriel Jesus in today’s game.

Richarlison’s display against Serbia shows why Brazilian manager, Tite, rates him more than Gabriel Jesus. The Tottenham forward is by far more clinical than Gabriel Jesus especially for the national team.

Richarlison had just three touches in Serbia’s box but managed to score two brilliant goals – that is one thing that is missing in Gabriel Jesus’ game.

The Arsenal forward is well known for missing clear-cut opportunities, and Tite can’t afford to give him more trust than Richarlison.
