Chelsea suffered a first half set back in the match against Brighton as they fell down early. Brighton started the match on the right footing as they delivered constant threat’s towards the Chelsea goal.
Thiago Silva made two quick incredible saves before making an unprecedented blunder that led to the first goal.
He made one save with a header the saved another one which was from a corner, also with a header. He would later hit the ball on the opponent and this led to the first goal.
Chelsea later conceded another goal from a set piece via a Loftus Cheek own goal.
Kepa Arrizabalaga did his best to keep Chelsea in the match, constantly coming out of his box to prevent the determined Chelsea attack. Were it not for him, then maybe it would have been more.
He however felt uncomfortable in the first half but was determined to continue. He would be replaced in the start of second half as Edouard Mendy came on for him to continue with the rest of the match.
Mendy has not played since the arrival of Graham Potter. Potter has seemingly favored Kepa who is a better ball distributor.
