Fans were left in disbelief after hearing Liverpool’s head coach, Jurgen Klopp, make a comment at the pregame press conference.
The German is nervous about playing against Pep Guardiola and the Cityzens since they are his archrivals.
The German will be tested in his own country and has admitted to being afraid of the Premier League heavyweights. He thinks Guardiola’s squad is the most formidable in the league because of the caliber of its players.
In spite of their assurances that they will limit Haaland’s touches, Klopp warns that they are still vulnerable since closing in on him will leave openings through which the opposition can score.
During a press conference before Liverpool’s game against Man City, Klopp said: “One of the finest strikers in the world, so we need to limit his touches.
And so, that is what we intend to do. If City tries to seal off Haaland with too many players, they provide openings for the opposing team’s world-class players to exploit. Doesn’t help matters at all.”
