Barcelona came back from a goal down to beat Osasuna with 10 men tonight.

The Blaugrana extended their lead over Real Madrid at the top of the league with a stunning comeback win against Osasuna despite playing the entire second half with ten men after Robert Lewandowski was sent off for a second bookable offense.

Osasuna got off to a best possible start when David Garcia nodded in Ruben Garcia’s cross from a corner kick to stun the league leaders.

Things went from bad to worse when Lewandowski was shown his second yellow card of the night following his reckless challenge on Osasuna’s goalscorer.

Lewandowski’s red card was the 9th time Jesus Gil Manzano has sent a Barcelona player off, which is the most so far in his professional career – source (‘relevo’, Twitter).

Gil brandished a straight red towards Messi after the Argentine slapped his opponent to the ground in the Spanish Supercopa final match between Barcelona and Athletic Bilbao a year ago.

The referee had already given marching orders to players like Neymar, Luis Suarez, and Lionel Messi before adding Lewandowski to his growing list of superstars he’s sent off.

Fortunately for Barça, the players never gave up and put up a commendable fight in the second period.

Pedri put the comeback win into motion after he found the back of the net a minute after the restart, with Raphinha winning the game 5 minutes before fulltime when he sent in a looping header over Osasuna’s goalie.
