Man City will host Brentford in Saturday’s first game with the aim of a win in order to mount pressure on Arsenal, who travel to Wolves in the evening on Saturday.

Man City are coming off of a flawless 2-0 victory over Chelsea in the Carabao Cup third round match played on Wednesday, while Arsenal suffered their first defeat at the Emirates Stadium this season.

Brighton beat the Gunners 3-1 in front of their fans, but it’s safe to say that Brighton were the better side, and Arsenal’s lack of squad depth was there for everyone to see.

Liverpool beat Tottenham 2-1 last week but had to go into a penalty shootout to eliminate Derby County in the Carabao Cup encounter at Anfield on Wednesday. However, they battle Southampton on Saturday.

Chelsea, who have recently suffered back-to-back defeats, including a Carabao Cup exit, will travel to third-place Newcastle United.This match could be a deciding factor as to whether Graham Potter will be sacked or not, but for Newcastle, a win will keep them in 3rd.

On Sunday, Manchester United travel to Fulham while in-form Brighton host Aston Villa, which will be Unai Emery’s second game in the Premier League after his return to England from Villarreal.

This season, Arsenal leads the English Premier League by two points, with Manchester City in second and Newcastle United in third.

As a result of their 0-1 away victory at Chelsea, Arsenal’s unbeaten record has now lasted seven games. Additionally, they haven’t given up a goal in their last two league contests.

Manchester City defeated Fulham 2-1 at home to win their third straight league game. Newcastle United has won four games in a row, while Manchester United has conceded 79% of its goals on the road.
