Cristiano Ronaldo has made a sly comment about Arsenal when discussing his recent struggles at Manchester United during an interview with Piers Morgan.

The interview is on TalkTV’s Piers Morgan Uncensored and is set to be released in full this week.

Ronaldo has not had the greatest start to the season at United this season, scoring just one league goal, but that has not stopped him from making his feelings known about United manager Erik ten Hag.

The Portuguese star also shared his thoughts on United as a club and how they are falling behind the likes of Manchester City, Liverpool and Arsenal.

Ronaldo: I want the best for the club

When trying to justify his reasoning for the interview, Ronaldo said: “I think the fans should know the truth.

“I want the best for the club. This is why I come to Manchester United.”

“But you have some things inside that don’t help (us) reach the top level as City, Liverpool and even now Arsenal… a club with this dimension should be top of the tree in my opinion and they are not unfortunately,” he added.

Arsenal have no doubt been added into that list by Ronaldo because they currently sit top of the Premier League.

Mikel Arteta’s side beat Wolves at the weekend to take a five-point lead over champions Man City.

Arteta and his men have only lost once this season in the league and that came against Ronaldo’s United.

The Portuguese came on as a substitute that day.
