Done deal: AFC Wimbledon sign Saikou Janneh
League Two AFC Wimbledon have signed Cambridge United forward Saikou Janneh on loan until the end of the season. The 23-year-old has scored one goal in 17 appearances for the U’s in all competitions after joining the League One club from Bristol City last summer.
The Gambian has previously had loan spells at Torquay United, Newport County and Shrewsbury Town. Janneh becomes Wimbledon boss Johnnie Jackson’s fourth signing of the January transfer window.
Manchester United looking to sign another forward in January
Manchester United are reportedly looking to sign another striker before the end of the January transfer window despite recently bringing in Wout Weghorst from Burnley.
A lack of options in the final third of the field led to the club moving to sign Weghorst from Burnley, with the Dutchman set to spend the remainder of the campaign at Old Trafford.
However, according to the Daily Mail, Man United are keen to bring another striker to the club, potentially on loan, with the club concerned by Anthony Martial’s fitness problems.
Arnaut Danjuma joins Tottenham
Tottenham have signed forward Arnaut Danjuma on loan from Villarreal until the end of the season. The Netherlands international had been expected to join Premier League rivals Everton before Spurs hijacked the move. His arrival in north London boosts Antonio Conte’s attacking options, with Son Heung-min, Dejan Kulusevski, Richarlison and Lucas Moura each having experienced injury issues this term.
