Barcelona have opened talks with Wolves to sign midfielder Ruben Neves, according to Sport. With Frenkie de Jong’s future up in the air, Barcelona are looking to strengthen their midfield, with Portugal international Neves their preferred option.

Greig McDonald has been appointed as East Fife’s permanent manager after making a positive impact during his time as caretaker.

The 40-year-old – who made 189 appearances for the Fifers as a player – was handed the reins on a temporary basis last month when previous boss Stevie Crawford left to become Dundee United’s assistant.

OFFICIAL: Setien replaces Emery at Villarreal

Villarreal have appointed Quique Setien as their new head coach, replacing Unai Emery. Setien’s contract runs until the summer of 2024. It’s his first job since being sacked by Barcelona in 2020.
